FilariaSeFight- Fast Tracking Elimination
#FilariaSeFight is a digital-first public health communication campaign designed to support India’s goal of eliminating lymphatic filariasis (LF) by 2027, one of the country’s most complex and long-running elimination efforts. In a nation carrying nearly 40% of the global LF burden, success depends not only on medical interventions, but on sustained public understanding, trust, and participation. Over three years, as India expanded Mass Drug Administration and more endemic districts progressed towards elimination milestones, the campaign has evolved alongside the national effort. It moved from breaking silence and stigma to driving preventive behaviour and supporting government-led action at the last mile. In its third year, the focus sharpened on fast-tracking progress by highlighting sanitation, everyday mosquito breeding environments, and tools such as Night Blood Surveys. Through culturally rooted creativity, credible expert voices, and on-ground activations, the campaign helped turn policy into participation. By staying relevant year after year, when attention is hardest to hold, #FilariaSeFight demonstrates how sustained communication can help advance a critical national health mission, not just generate visibility.
Impact
148.1M impressions, 96.58M+ reach, and 50.1M engagements, while driving sustained behaviour change. Its effectiveness was recognised with multiple national and regional awards. Most importantly, #FilariaSeFight sustained public attention over time, keeping a complex public health issue visible, credible, and relevant in an environment of message fatigue.
